CRIME
The above word itself sound ruthless, give you chills in the spines but does any one of normal citizen without a degree in psychology or criminology or other related field ever think about it. It is so common in our society these days but how many of us really take few minutes of their busy schedule and ever think about it and make them selves aware or take any precautionary matter when we are living in the most densely populated city in the world with the ever-increasing crime rate. This is not the same peaceful place as our grandparents or parents used to describe.

Murder/Self defense
Below is a very recent case in the capital city Male’ everyone is talking about it. Here is what I have heard
A 21 year old women stabs her ex husband to death which was described as self defense from the source which I have heard the news. It seems that the woman was frequently beaten by her ex husband when they were married. And they also had fights at her workplace and few people have witnessed it. The man was described to be very violent and the wife had gone to police several times with her case. Apparently the women handed herself over to the police after stabbing her husband to death. And the sad part of the story is that they have a kid.
Suicide/Accident
A 17 year old girl fell off a balcony from 4th floor of a building. Apparently she had some trouble at school with the neibouring class and their problem was take to the school principal by a supervisor. Her mother who doesn’t live with her talked on the phone regarding the above matter and few minutes later she fell off the balcony and was pronounced dead.
2 serious cases within one day. The public is shocked. No one knows the truth behind each case. What could be the reason? What can we do about it? Is the current situation going to get better or worse? Are the political leaders really taking these issues seriously? Are the parents or the schools to blame? Is it wise for the community to bargain for infrastructure, loans when crime is the major issue? Where can the troubled victims get help before it is too late? If they go to the authorities will consider to investigate? If they go to a psychotherapist will their grievances be kept confidential?
So many questions arise when you think about it and who should we go for answers or who should we put the blame upon?

Open up a little
One of loved ones read my post and suggested to make it more personal. And I replied by saying that I keep my inner thoughts and complains locked up in my diary not in my blog. And one day I will show it to the love of my life when we grow old. Is it me or others do others have this similar problem. Letting your guard down is so hard these days. Even among those innocent faced friends, they have this two face effect where they show their lovely face in front of you and behind you they show this ugly evil face. It has become such a bad and familiar habit that people tend to talk about the person who is absent at that moment even among the best of friends and they seem to enjoy it without any guilt.

Life of a reflector
In this world you see four kinds of people. The activist’s (style 1): are know to be gregarious, seek challenge, wants immediate experience, open-minded, but at the same time gets bored with implementation. The theorists (style 2): are known think things through in logical steps, assimilate disparate facts into coherent theories, rationally objective, reject subjectivity and flippancy. The Pragmatists (style 3): seek and try out new ideas, practical, down-to-earth, enjoy problem solving and decision-making quickly, bored with long discussions. The Reflectors (style 4): 'stand back', gather data, ponder and analyze, delay reaching conclusions, listen before speaking, thoughtful. Well, I myself see’s my self as a reflector.
Work Life
Yes I know it’s a weakness of mine that I stand back at times. I am known to be the shy one in a crowd. I don’t participate that much but I like the gathering data part and I love observing people around me. Especially at work it helps me to get to know my colleagues easily and to establish my boundaries and makes it so easy to predict the people who are here to stay and who are ambitious. I don’t like to jump into conclusions because I like to reflect my past experiences good or bad before making the decisions which makes me a slow decision maker. I have seen that people who jump into conclusions often end up in the same mess as before. Isn’t it what life is teaching you? To learn from your mistakes. I hate it when some colleagues don’t have the capability to listen to others problems or questions or complains and tries to be defensive. Cummon we are all here to learn and make mistakes in our safety net. And in times of stress people tend to become annoying, trivializing to their colleagues which I don’t really get.
Private Life
I myself have made really stupid decisions in my life like at o levels or a levels, not working with my full potential or dating people who doesn’t actually fit into my criteria of a “good” boy friend. But what heck, past is past and everyone make stupid decisions just by living in the moment and when the time comes when you realize your own mistakes you reflect upon it, conceptualize and again bring the plan into action. Once again u may succeed but with fewer mistakes. This is known to be the special quality of us “the reflectors”. ;P
If I had the chance to way of learning I would still prefer to be a reflector but with the good qualities of a pragmatist and try to be innovative, practical and enjoy the problem solving part. Pragmatist or reflector I hate the long discussions with no fruitful outcomes. Such a waste of time it is
I'm back. In case u where wondering....
