People say happiness comes with a price, well guess the price i had to pay. My weight! i have gained like 7 Kgs after i got married almost an year ago. Luckily my husband is a very health concious man. We limit our intake of junk food. I donot store candy, chocolates or fizzy drinks in the refregirator. My only enemy is the lack of excercise, which iam guilty of.
When i look at pictures of me several years back i looked soo skinny. And i dont want to be that skinny i was unhappy and unhealthy back then.
I only started to excercise in June 2009 on my semester break. Yet again i stopped going there when the following semester began. From time to time i went to the running track but wasnt really a regular there.
On June 26, 2011 i started to go to group excercise class. Its a barbell excercise class to streanthen and tone muscles. So i go there 3 days per week soon after i finish my work. I come home usually around 530, get ready and rush there within 30 minutes. I really do enjoy the classes there and glad to a good instructer who keeps pushing us.
Already I am starting to feel good about my self and i know it will take few months to achieve my target. This is my final semester of my advance diploma will begin. And yet again ill be in a much tighter schedule since ill get 45 minutes to come home from gym and get ready to attend the lectures.

Conversation starters
I don’t know if its me, but Im really getting sick of how people greet each other when they see a friend after a long time. You either end up getting on their nerves, not minding your own business or sometimes going too far. Just my opinion you don’t have to agree.
Here are typical conversation starters a typical Maldivian use which I really find annoying
To a single person- when are you getting married (as if it is a burden for u because that person is single)
To a married person- when are you having a kid (strictly too private to ask)
To a person having a kid- When are you having your second (are you willing to pay for their college fees?)
Where are you working and how much is your salary?
People should really find good conversation starters. There should be a better ways than this. Where are the usual greetings such as “hi how are you” “hows your family?” other than asking you the most private question you don’t want to discuss with a random person.
I don’t know if it’s a part of our culture or simply people are always looking for some juicy gossip because people should really should find new ways to greet people

What I Learnt Today

Dichotomous thinking
It is also sometimes called “black or white thinking.” This is when someone is only able to see the extremes of a situation, and is unable to see the “gray areas” or complexities of the situation. For example, a student who engages in dichotomous thinking may believe that if they don't get an "A" in class then they have failed.

What does your future holds for you?

There are so many instances that we ask our self the questions
“how far are we away from our goals?”,
“am I going to achieve it?”
“how come some people have their lives planned out by their parents?”
Well I guess me and most of my friends fall into the category where our parents are not well aware of how tough it will become to get a job and to be someone. And we can’t blame them cant we? There is huge generation gap between me and my parents or between my friends and their parents to understand it. Due to this we were forced to join the work force at the age of 16 or18. To make money, to help our parents out to support them to raise our siblings. I am not saying that it is a bad thing to start to take responsibility at young age but how about letting us grow and letting us decide what the future holds for us?
Enough of the complaints
Now that we have realized how much of a man eat man world is out their sooner that we realize that we need to stop complaining about our past. As our beloved president says”Komme meehege hayaathugaives dhuvas kolhe anaane”. We need to leave those days behind when we didn’t get the chance to be some one.
These days you can start from scratch even if you finish seventh or eight grade and do professional/academic courses to develop your skills. And also you should know that even though you don’t have a degree for now you still have the skills and knowledge which a regular college graduates will take years to gain. So don’t let your self down my friends.
Lets not look down upon our selves or look behind. God knows what future holds for us. Lets do our part to make it worth while :)
